I noticed whoever is running Netflix is basing it on how they see their own life. Damn, the people who are paying to watch the product.

Then you have Sports Applications that lose the right to a sport you are watching on their streaming app. Like DANZ, after thousands of people signup to watch the Premier League, it was announced that they no longer had the rights to the Premier League for the coming up season. Boy was people pissed off about that.

So yea, I see why you would want to cut the cord but also stay clear away from Paid Streaming Applications.

Some Options to Look At

As younger people like myself moved out on our own, we noticed Cable was too high for our budget. And in the end not worth it. It was better for us to try a third option. The reason we even know about this option is because we grew up with computers in the house.

Around this time YouTube was new but everyone was on it to watch Tv for Free. We were also downloading music and movies for free online. Took a little longer due to dial-up, this is before broadband and WiFi. These tricks and skills stayed with the internet as things changed. We went from downloading a Movie file to downloading torrents. I wouldn’t download a torrent today but back in the day, I may have once.

Fast forward to Live Streaming and just watching the stuff online for Free. Some random website that was showing it for Free. Little did we know they were making money on website ads. Then fast forward again to XBMC now known as Kodi. 2013 Kodi was big, we were jailbreaking iPads and adding on Kodi along with its first build The Beast. Then Firesticks hit the streets, once people found out you could load The Beast onto a Firestick it went crazy from there.

Then in 2016 Kodi was under attack and had to hang a lot of people out to dry just to survive themselves. Addon developers jump off of Kodi and became APK, Android Package Kit. Around this time Developers started to notice they could Jailbreak one of the most popular streaming devices around, the Apple Tv.

In 2019, out of all the streaming devices, a New King appeared with an NVIDIA® Tegra® X1+ processor. Making other companies “Green with Envy.” No joke this is what the name stands for. The only problem is Firesticks were so popular only super techie people notice the Nvidia Shield Tv Pro 2019.

2020 hit, we were tired of loading Firesticks. The Cable Companies in New York City had caught on and started blocking the APK streams. We had to get VPNs to get around this. Around this time we started loading the Nvidia Shield Tv Pro 2019.

Which leads us to 2023 July, a lot has changed but yet at the same time stayed the same. The Nvidia Shield Tv Pro 2019 is still the King of streaming devices. Just as long as you do NOT update to Android 11, that will slow the device down by 20%.
