It’s almost here. HBO, House of the Dragon is airing Sunday, August 21st. This new series is based on the book Fire & Blood by Geroge R.R. Martin. The story starts 172 years before Game of Thrones. When Dragons ruled over Westeros. This series answers the question, Who are the Targaryens, and what is their story at this point in time? The new name for the show is just Hot D. Everywhere I look I’m seeing this for this show.

The Story as it Starts

The Series starts off with the Old King Jaehaerys I, and thousand Lords in Harrenhal voting for the new heir. King Jaehaerys I sons have died at this point. Rhaenys Targaryen is next in line to rule, the problem is Rhaenys is a woman.

And the Kingdom doesn’t want a woman to rule. King Jaehaerys I doesn’t want a civil war so this vote takes place. Putting cousins against one another for the Throne. Rhaenys Targaryen who is married with a son already born against Visery Targaryen who is married with a child in his wife not knowing the sex.

Everyone in Harrenhal votes for Visery Targaryen to be the next King making him the 4th Targaryen to seat on the Throne. Also making Rhaenys Targaryen the Queen that never was. Visery Targaryen was voted in for many reasons but the number 1 reason is that he is weak and can easily be controlled. King Visery I is a people pleaser which is not a good quality when it comes to being a King. I want to say by him becoming King, is the start of the downfall of the Targaryen House.

Here is the little twist, King Visery I keep getting cut by the Throne. The Targaryens believe if you are being cut by the Throne, you are the wrong person seating on the Throne.

My favorite character in all of this is Daemon Targaryen. I think he is down to earth and he is just real in a lot of the things he says to others. He calls his wife that he didn’t want to marry his Bronz Bitch, his wife's name is Rhea Royce. And tell his brother King Viserys, that he is weak and people only have him as King so that they can get what they want.

This to me makes Daemon the coolest guy in the kingdom. Daemon seems to have a close relationship with his niece Rhaenyra Targaryen. But you will soon see how King Visery I gets played by his own Hand, Otto. By yet again putting family members Daemon vs daughter Rhaenyra against each other for the Throne.

I don’t want to spoil why I can’t stand King Visery I. You will see it once you watch it.

How to watch House of the Dragon?

Well, they are not Jailbroken, just loaded up, it’s not the old way of doing things. Physically this is the best device, you can feel how premium it is. It’s made to last a long time for sure at less than 5 to 7 years.
