What happened to the Dallas Mavericks in 2023? Why are the Mavericks considering shutting down Luka Doncic & Kyrie Irving? Oh man, let me try to start from the trade deadline.

I’m a big Brooklyn Nets fan and we have been going through it for the last 3 years with Kyrie Irving and his mess. I guess he was on a spiritual journey or something. Every time we turned around this guy was in the news over something crazy. Fast forward to the Trade deadline of 2023, Kyrie Irving wants a 3-year contract to stay with the Brooklyn Nets or he wants to be traded.

I remember hearing about this and I’m thinking oh no we are about to get Kyrie Irving for another 3 years. I can’t take it anymore I need a New Basketball team. But I hear Kyrie Irving has been traded instead and I’m like WTF just happened? About time, for who, and for what?

I’m online searching to see who was traded and I see Spencer Dinwiddie with Dorian Finney-Smith and some second-round picks. Cool, Dinwiddie is coming back to Brooklyn and is bringing Finney-Smith with him. I’m excited at this point, I’m from the 757 and so is Finney-Smith awesome that we now have guys that can play defense at a very high level.

The question now is will Kevin Durant be cool with this trade?

Woke up and Kevin Durant has been traded to the Phoenix Suns, and my mouth dropped. I’m like shit, along with TJ Warren. So we have no All-Stars is what I woke up to. I’m back online researching who was traded, we got the twins Mikal Bridges and Cam “CJ” Johnson. I watch some highlights on them, I’ve been watching the games with Thomas, Miles, Claxton, Sumuner, Watanabe, Harris, Curry, and Sharpe. I’m happy as hell by this point, we have a team and 5 future All-Stars. I totally forgot about Ben Simmons and who he was when someone said what about Ben.

What should the Dallas Mavericks do now?

Fast forward to the Dallas Mavericks, they are sitting at number 4 when Kyrie Irving gets to them. I saw the first few games and they won them. I’m like, it’s cool they are going to be good. I’m seeing everyone on the floor for the Mavericks shooting 3s and making them. I’m like yea, they are good.

Fast forward again to April 3rd and I’m hearing they want to shut it down because they are in the 11th spot. Your next 3 games are at Home, just win them and you will be pushed through to the next round. You are 1 Game behind the OKC Thunder who will play Golden State tonight at Golden State.

But then I start to hear if they lose they will be in the top 5 for picking in the NBA Draft. Are you fucking kidding me right now? Do you want to lose games to have one of the first 5 picks for some rookie? I know the NBA is better than this and if not you should be.

Stay in the moment Mavericks, you owe it to your fan to fight to get into the Play In Tournament. Don’t think about next year when this year is not even over yet. You still have a great chance. I know you gave up a lot but keep playing. Maybe you can try out some good defensive players for a 10-day contract. Hell, we did it here in Brooklyn which I thought was crazy and also didn’t even know you could do.
