Should we keep our eyes out for an Nvidia Shield 2023? At this point, Yes. We most likely won’t see it until the Fall of 2023 if one does come out. 

Why do tech companies do this? To give a big push for their 4th quarter in sales that’s why. 

Will it be better than the Nvidia Shield Pro 2019? It would depend on what you use it for real.

If the Nvidia Shield Pro 2023 comes out will I buy it? No, here is why I wouldn’t buy it though. At the moment you can downgrade the Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 back to Android 9, which has proven to be the best system for this device. You can do so much with the device on Android 9. Why break something that is not broken? It’s the best for sideloading third-party apps, the speed is unmatched at this point. Then can we talk about adding old-school Video Games & Systems to RetroArch or Hyperspin to play?

So, why the update to Android 11? Who really knows, they said it was for security reasons but that’s just not it. I think they want to slow down the sideloading community to please the applications that are paying them to run ads on the Home Screen. Can we talk about Android 9 version 8.2.1 not having the Ads on the Home Screen? A great reason to downgrade right?

What will be on the Nvidia Shield Pro 2023?

Most likely Android 12 and if you hate Android 11, I can tell you first hand Android 12 is no better. I’ve been playing around with Android 12 on some Google TVs. I can tell you I had a hard time staying chilled. 

This was just me loading the apk’s onto the device, I didn’t even do the who Elite System. At this point, I think our Elite System is too powerful for the Android 12 Google TV. My main problem was the bugginess and the problem with not being able to really remap YouTube.

I didn’t even want to try my luck with Plex. I leave 1.6 GB of space on the Google TV so it will run right. I had to make a Special Elite System that doesn’t upgrade a lot so the device will keep up. Being cheap in 2023 for sideloading can be a headache. This is why we are leaving the Firestick alone from here on out.

Back to the Android 12. Our team has enough time to get something ready for an Nvidia Shield Pro 2023. I’m just not sure about the Video Games and other things people love that they are taking away. I would have to get this device that we all think will happen in my hands first.

Will you keep selling Nvidia Shield Pro 2019?

Of course, there is no other device out there better than the Nvidia Shield Pro 2019. Our team has Jailbroken, Tested out, and loaded them all. A close second is only the Apple Tv 4K. Mainly because its software system is totally different making it exciting to play with.

The Fire Tv Cube 3 is alright, it could be a whole lot better but it’s Amazon. They put out cheap stuff for cheap prices. My Jailbroken Nvidia Shield Pro 2019, I’ve had since March 2020. This damn device has gotten better and faster. I can’t say that about other Androids or Fire TVs. 

Again, Apple TVs are just different systems altogether. 

I love the Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 and in 2023, I recommend that device over all others hands down.

In Conclusion

At this point, if you are waiting on the Nvidia Shield Pro 2023 don’t if you plan on sideloading or you plan to get a sideloaded one. The Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 will be the better device due to its downgrade available. 

I don’t believe you will be able to downgrade the Nvidia Shield Pro 2023 to Android 9 because the device never had that system on it to start. I will be trying this out for sure just to double-check.
