You want a USB backup of the APKs that are loaded onto the device. If someone tells you about a back on a cloud, they are NOT telling you the truth. You can not back up a Nvidia Shield device at all. You can only be given the APKs used on the device on a USB to be reloaded onto the device.

I’ve searched everywhere and used Bard and ChatGPT, but nothing is made to backup a Nvidia Shield. You can do this with a Kodi Build for sure but not with the Nvidia Shield system.

I don’t care what kind of problem you are having with the Nvidia Shield Pro, the best way to fix it is to just reboot the whole system. When doing this you are going to need that USB to reload those APKs back onto the device. This is why we reboot the device twice before we even start to load it.

Is the Nvidia Shield Pro still good in 2024?

Yes, in 2024 the Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 is still the number 1 streaming device on the market. Do you know of any other streaming device other than the Apple TV that can play all the Retro Games and host all the Retro Systems on the device as a stand-alone?

The Apple TV doesn’t count due to the glitch.

You can downgrade the Nvidia Shield Pro back to Android 9 and Android 8 if you like. Do you see anyone talking about downgrading a Firestick? No, something this small makes a world of difference on a streaming device. The ability to control the system running on the device. That is mind-blowing, you can only do this with computers. Not your TV nor phone, just computers, and now the Nvidia Shield Pros.

Let’s talk about how many APKs you can sideload. We have gotten up to 1,000 APK onto the device just to get them on it. Did we test them all, of course not. No one wanted that headache of a job but we did want to know how far we can push the device and it’s far. You can add an SD Drive up to 4TB onto the device and use it as expandable storage.

I haven’t even talked about the speed of how fast this move. When I play around with other Android streaming devices I forget about the difference in speed until I have to slow down. I can’t with the cheaper boxes they are way too slow. The Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 is even faster than the other two from 2015 and 2017. The 2019 is rocking the NVIDIA® Tegra® X1+ processor. No other streaming device can stand up to this chip.

This may be the MAIN reason they haven’t come out with a new Nvidia Shield Pro yet.
