Can I still receive software updates from TiVo after purchasing a jailbroken device?

Yes, you will still receive software updates for the device even if the device is jailbroken. Remember, the operational system on the device is not being played with in any way.

How does the performance of a jailbroken TiVo Stream 4K compare to a standard, non-jailbroken device?

A standard TiVo Stream 4K device would still have the built-in Free Live TV Guide which is amazing. You will still have access to a lot of free content but it’s content that is licensed with those applications and more likely the content is not new.

Are there any legal implications or concerns associated with using a jailbroken device?

Streaming content in the USA is not illegal. It’s looked down on but not illegal when streaming. And if your internet provider tries to block you just turn on your VPN or use Cloudflare DNS for 100% privacy.

At this time, I haven’t seen any problems on a Jailbroken TiVo 4K, unlike the Jailbroken Firestick which is blocked by all internet providers in New York City so they need VPNs.

APKs themselves hold NO copyrighted content on them. All these APKs are search engines which makes them 100% legal. Now where the scap content from can be questionable but I’m not too sure if they can control where they get the content from.

I do want to point out that IPTV Services are illegal here’s how. The seller is hosting the channels on a server and then reselling the content. It’s the holding of copyrighted channels onto a server that is illegal. Not ALL IPTV Services are illegal, just ones without a license.

Can I revert the device back to its original state if I no longer want it to be jailbroken?

Yes, you can 100% revert the TiVo Stream 4K back to the standard operational system on the device if you like. Just factory reset the devices, it will erase everything and you will start from the beginning.

I do not recommend this step at all. You are paying for the Jailbreak, this can be a learning curve for people new to this. This is why you have 24/7 access to the Video Manual. You can watch these videos over and over again until they become second nature when using the device.

Why don’t you just load Kodi like other sellers?:

A. Kodi has been around for 10 years. The problem is that Kodi itself is always updating and so are the addons. With this, Builds may work one day and not the next. The reason why you even have all these APKs is because in 2016 YouTube started banning Kodi videos. We sell what T. uses. T. STAYS UP ON THE LATEST & GREATEST WHEN IT COMES TO STREAMING IN NEW YORK CITY.

Will this TiVo run like an Nvidia Shield Pro with Arcade?:

A. No. To be as clear as possible the TiVo Stream 4K is great if you are New to streaming and even better if you are looking for a Firestick replacement. But if you are looking for as powerful as a Nvidia Shield Pro, this device is not it.

Internet and Mesh Networking Systems

I want to go over hooking up the Jailbroken TiVo 4K before you start going crazy and running around. First, you need good internet, this would work amazingly if you had the USB Hub with the ethernet plug so that you can plug it right into the Jailbroken TiVo 4K.

By having your Jailbroken TiVo 4K hooked up to the ethernet will make the connection even stronger.

Wi-Fi connections can easily break apart and reconnect. You see this happen when someone is working, stops, and works again. The connection was interrupted, therefore it stopped working and went back to work once the connection was back.

This happens with WiFi 5GHz, WiFi 6GHz, and WiFi 6E GHz. It doesn’t happen too much with 2.4GHz. With 2.4GHz, it can easily travel through walls and other strong natural materials throughout the home. Please remember if your kitchen is in between your TV and the Internet that is going to cause a ton of problems on its own.

To fix that problem I recommend a Mesh Network System. It’s like having satellite dishes in your home pushing WiFi all over the place. The Mesh Networking System I use is Plume Pods, and no they are NOT a sponsor. Plume Pods take the weight off of your Router/Modem. By all your devices being connected to Plume, the Pod can tell what WIFi connection the device works best on and place it there.

You have so much more control and security with your internet by using a Mesh Network System. You can add on Cloudflare DNS or your VPN SmartDNS for 100% privacy from the internet provider. You can even make up passwords for guests so no one gets the main home WiFi password. You can also kick people off your network. They have thought of it all plus more with the Plume Pods.
