The Western Conference NBA Play-In Tournament

I don’t know what will happen with the Western Conference but it’s open for everyone at the moment. Right now teams are fighting just to get in the NBA Play-In Tournament alone.

As it stands the Mavericks are out for sure. it’s not working with Luka and Irving at the moment. On top of that, they have no defensive players at all. They can’t seem to play any defense in a game. If you can’t stop the other team from scoring, you are dead in the water.

You let Brunson leave because you didn’t want to pay the man, then you trade Finney-Smith & Dinwiddie your best defensive players in a package deal for Kyrie Irving. I don’t see them being in the Play-In Tournament at all after all of this. You won’t make it far in the NBA if your team has no defensive players. So it’s over for the Mavericks and I was looking forward to seeing them go a little further.

The Lakers are in the Play Ins for sure, the Timberwolves have time to knock Golden State out of the number 6 spot. Which would push Golden State into the Play-In Tournament. The Western Conference is so deep and it’s so much talent, I’m just happy to be watching at the point.

The Eastern Conference NBA Play In Tournament

The Eastern Conference is moving a little differently if you can say it like that. The Brooklyn Nets can not lose any more games. I really mean this, the Heats are on their tail even though the Brooklyn Nets beat the Heats for the number 6 spot.

The Nets are pushing past and winning big against big-name teams but then falling short against other teams like the Magic. And then they almost lost to the Rockets. Stop overlooking the little teams and I’m saying this to the coach.

This starting lineup will not work on every team, you think you are the Detroit Pistons back in the 80s. Defense alone will not win you a Championship either in 2023.

The team I have my eyes on is the Hawks. They are a great little group, they have more talent and give away too much talent at the same time being cheap. If you win a title and put asses in the seat you can eat a little Luxury Tax. Or you can stop trading for people with big-ass contracts.

The Eastern Conference is very close in the middle of the pack. I can’t wait for the Play-In Tournament on the east as well.
