Main Card Fights:

Lightweight Title: (C) Oliveira vs Gaethje

Lightweight Title Bout: (C) Charles Oliveira vs Justin Gaethje.

If my boy Charles Oliveira was fighting anyone else hands down he would win. But he is not, he is fighting one of my favourite fighters, Justin Gaethje. Gaethje can be a little sloppy at times but the uppercuts will put you on your ass. I’ve seen Oliveira get hurt in his last two fights and come back to win easily. This may go all 5 rounds for sure or Gaethje is going to put Oliveira lights outs. Or Oliveira may jump on Gaethje’s back and choke him out. This is a really hard one to pick for me.

My pick is Justin Gaethje, I don’t know why but the tide is turning in his favour for me.

Strawweight Title: (C) Namajunas vs Esparza

Strawweight Title Bout: (C) Rose Namajunas vs Carla Esparza.

Queen of the Strawweight Division for years off and on taking out the best of the best “Thug” Rose vs “Cookie Monster” Esparza. They are running this one back after years of taking two completely different roads to the top. I know the favourite to win is “Thug” Rose, I really thought it was Esparza due to the history and how she beat Rose the first time around. Clearly, that is not the case now. Esparza still has the strong wrestling mixing it up with some ground and pound. But this is a whole NEW THUG, I’m a big fan of Thug Rose, even the name is awesome. She has taken out the best of the best, minus some setbacks, Rose comes back. This is going to be a dog fight for sure. Rose is so good, she can knock out Esparza in the first round and walk off.

My pick is clearly “Thug” Rose in this rematch.

Lightweight Bout: Ferguson vs Chandler

Lightweight Bout: Michael Chandler vs Tony Ferguson.

They are speaking the truth when they say the Lightweight Division is stacked with so much talent. This is a dream match come true in 2022. Are you seeing the comeback of Tony Ferguson or the rise of Michael Chandler? I didn’t know who the hell “Iron” Michael Chandler was until he knocked my boy Dan Hooker out. This little guy was very impressive and when I saw he was fighting for the Title next, I thought “Yea I can see how for sure.” Michael is very exciting to watch and I like this guy a lot. And trust we have nothing in common. Tony Ferguson has been around for a while and with a lot of setbacks from injuries and other crazy stuff when trying to fight Khabib. Tony was the man to fight and try to beat. But lately, he has lost his last 2 to 3 fights, which is shocking. At first, I thought yea Michael Chandler got this fight hands down until I saw Tony change the way he trained. That’s the key to winning in the UFC, “Changing”. It’s levels to this game and I see Tony is on for this one.

This is so hard to pick, this whole Pay Per View. I love all these fighters on this card.

My pick deep down is saying Michael Chandler. Until I saw the changes Tony Ferguson made, will it be enough?

Light Heavyweight Bout: Rua vs Saint Preux

Light Heavyweight Bout: Mauricio Rua vs Ovince Saint Preux.

This one is very interesting as well, these two guys are running it back. It’s unclear in the first fight but it looks like “Shogun” slipped and got caught when that happened. If that slip didn’t happen, how would that first fight really have gone? Both guys fought the GOAT Jon Jones for the title and lost. Despite that many years ago, both guys are top tier fighters that have been around for a while. And both with knockout power, just swinging bombs.

My pick is “Shogun”, he wants this to become 1 & 1. And I would love to see a third with these two.

Lightweight Bout: Cerrone vs Lauzon

Lightweight Bout: Donald Cerrone vs Joe Lauzon.

Where the hell have these two guys been? If you want to talk about highlights reals this will be one for sure. “Cowboy” Donald Cerrone never won a title, how I don’t know but he was once amazing. He fought his best friend some years back and almost got knocked out. Donald came back out of the blue and won that fight. He also had a fight with a young and hungry Conor McGregor. Cerrone stayed on PPV’s in top fights getting paid and it’s great to see him back at 155. Joe Lauzon is from TUF, damn it’s been a minute since I’ve seen him. This guy loves to make you tap out, he will take some hits first but once you are on the ground, be afraid and work like hell to get back up. This is a throwback fight and should have happened back in the day but it’s great to see it happening now.

My pick is, I’m not making a pick for this one. It’s just something I have to see.
