Oliveira never lost the title, in his last fight, he came in .5 of a pound heavier. This is something that’s never been a problem for Oliveira before.

Tony did weigh in before Oliveira that day and he kept hopping up and down on the scale. At this point I’m like that scale is broken, they should have a backup scale. Nope they didn’t and they weighed Oliveira and boy he looked pissed. It was 28 hours before the fight and I don’t know why they didn’t give Oliveira time to lose the .5 of a pound.

Lightweight Title Bout for the vacant Title: Charles Oliveira vs Islam Makhachev

It’s going down for the Lightweight Championship Title, man is this division not stacked to the roof? I think it’s too soon for Makhachev, he hasn’t fought anyone big. No one in the top 10, nothing. Yes, he is on a 10-fight-winning streak but against who? No one with star power to their name. He hasn’t fought Dustin nor Justin then there is Michael. Who has Islam fought that’s even worth naming? Yea, think about it hard, go to the UFC website and even look it up.

This is a stacked Division so it’s always someone to fight. On the other hand for Oliveira, who has he not fought? This guy has been in there with them all so far. He gets hurt then he comes back and turns it on. No more tapping out for Oliveira, he stays in there with you.

The question is, who has the better ground game? This I’m not too sure of, Islam gets on top and puts his weight on you. You could be standing up and the next second Oliveira is on your back out of the blue. I love this fight, it’s going to be amazing. My pick is, and still Champion yet again Charles Oliveira.

Bantamweight Title Bout: Aljamain Sterling vs TJ Dillashaw

It’s going down. Also, how did TJ Dillashaw even get this fight? He fought once in the last year. He won the fight but still, that guy hasn’t done a damn thing. Oh, yea I remember now, 2 years off for that thing. We all make mistakes, we learn, and we all can bounce back. TJ Dillashaw, be careful of who you trust in this fight game.

I’ve never seen a fight where both fighters are not likable until now. This is one for the History books, I tell you. No one likes TJ due to all that mess with his last team and now the drug thing.

No one likes Aljamain either because of how he won the Title in the first place. Then he took so long for the rematch. People pretty much said he was ducking that fight. I don’t know about all of that. He had some injuries that needed surgery. He finally had the money to get it done, so good on him. Don’t fight at the highest level if you are not 100%.

Who wins this fight? TJ has gotten better over the years with his hands. He’s only lost 2 fights in the UFC that I can think of. Aljamain is a better fighter as well by adding in more takedowns. I like this fight between both guys but who wins this fight? My pick is Aljamain Sterling, I think he has put it all together in his fight game.

Bantamweight Bout: Petr Yan vs Sean O’Malley

Former Champion Petr Yan vs Sean O’Malley, who the fuck made this fight? Why would you feed the lamb to the wolf?

Petr is the wolf in this fight. I’m a big fan of Sean O’Malley, he got skills and hands. He doesn’t have the best ankles. But O’Malley can fight and this is going to be a BIG one for him. The former Champion, so this is not just some guy in the top 10.

Why would Petr take this fight as well? If he loses to Sean O’Malley his stock is going down. This match-up is blowing my mind and this is a must-see fight. I don’t want to watch two men talking shit, anyone can talk shit, let’s back it up.

Who is my pick for this one? Hmm, let me think about this. I really like both of these guys but I guess we need some new blood, I’m going with the “Sugar Show” Sean O’Malley. I know this guy is a little out there but he can fight and he comes to fight.

These are the only fights I’m going to cover in this blog. I know it’s a lot more but half of these fighters are New. I want to stay focused on the Main Draws.
