This is the EU fault by forcing Apple to open up to third part App Stores like Android. Apple started updating like crazy and blocking IPAs from working and slowly cutting Kodi path off.
So no more three Kodi builds on one Apple TV.

Little is known about the BuzzTV but they are looking to make a name for themselves. From the YouTube setup videos I’ve seen, this streaming device looks like it could be pretty good. A few drawbacks are no Dolby Vision or Atmos. And lack of a cool and useful Home Screen.

SuperBox
The SuperBox can be very misleading if you watch the TikTok videos about it. You have to sideload your own APKs. The Live TV apk they keep showing is not telling you the full truth either. It’s an IPTV Service you get for 7 day and after you have to subscribe. Crazy, when the box also cost $400.
6th and this one you should not buy in 2025 anymore.:
Fire TV Cube 2023
Amazon has done it. You see how they are deleting your APKs on all Fire devices with the new updates being pushed out. Yes, you can try to add on the AdFree versions of the APKs but they will be after them next. Fire devices have just become a waste of your money and time.

What nobody tells you when you start loading up your Shield is…you’re not just using a third-party APK here and there you’re actually building your own system.
I remember when I first started. I used one APK for an entire year. Then, just like that, it stopped working. This was back when you could still talk about APKs on YouTube without any issues. I rushed to YouTube and sure enough, everyone was talking about how that APK got shut down. Turns out, Mobdro had malware baked in and was quietly sending your data to third parties so they could profit while offering you “free” streaming.

If you’re planning on doing all this yourself, more power to you. Yes, you can make it work. Brand new, right out of the box, you’ll get the latest software, Experience 9.2.1. If you’re not into that, you’ll need to flash the system immediately. We flash ours to Android 9, version 8.2.1. But, due to some handshake issues with LG TVs, I suggest trying version 8.2.3. One thing to note with this version is that you will get home screen ads. The only way to get rid of them is by disabling the Google Play Store.
If you plan to sideload APKs from third-party app stores, you won’t need the Google Play Store at all. Just make sure you delete any bloatware apps you won’t be using. You can clear data, force stop, and uninstall them. When you go the DIY route, you're essentially experimenting with the settings to see what works best for you and your TV.
