I did watch the Barbie Movie before writing this blog. I was kind of skeptical. The trailer doesn’t give you much of what the movie is really about.
I myself have never owned a Barbie nor played with a Barbie that I can remember growing up. So this is kind of funny that I’m even writing this blog.
After watching the movie, it gave me my own thoughts about the movie, Barbie herself, and the company Mattel.
I do want to give a big congrats to Margot Robbie who went out of her way to make sure the Barbie Movie was created by her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment. Barbie made 1 Billion dollars within 17 days of being in theaters.
Barbie tickets in New York City are completely sold out for the next month.

I’m not going to go too much into the plot because I don’t want to spoil this movie for anyone.
I will say, this is worth the watch even if you don’t care for Barbie. I never once had a Barbie and I’m a female. I was more into tech stuff like video games.
The theory of what Barbie is to little girls and women never was an issue for me. I didn’t care, but that’s a whole other thing if you are a Two-Spirited person. I will say when watching this movie, I realized we don’t live with color.
I’ve been wearing black and dark colors for so long, I forget how color can bring joy into the world. Plus brighten up your mood.
