Another New Tv Series on HBO Max, The Sex Lives of College Girls. This show is great, crazy, and funny all at once. On a serious note, I do love that they have a Women’s Support Group on Campus. More colleges need this in America due to the rape culture that's embedded. For people who think there is no rape culture, it happens to guys as well. The seriousness of sexual harassment and how to handle it is not taught to us from a young age in the US. Hopefully, this is something we can take in and teach the kids of tomorrow. We need to adapt the consent program, it’s taught from a very young age all the way up to adults. The best country to see consent in is the Netherlands.
As the show plays out you see a lot of consent throughout the girls’ sex lives. It’s based around 4 roommates from different walks of life. Pauline Chalamet plays, Kimberly Finkle who is an awkward middle-class girl from the midwest. Amrit Kaur plays Bela Malhotra a girl that’s only in college for the comedy club it’s known for and by the way, she makes this whole show. Alyah Chanelle Scott plays Whitney Chase a star soccer player who was sleeping with one of her coaches. And last Renee Rapp plays Leighton Murray, another rich girl from New York City but with a little twist, she is a closeted lesbian who really cares but acts as if she doesn't. I'm a little shocked Kimberly is not the one from NYC. She is really a hipster without even knowing it. She would fit into Brooklyn very well in real life.
The show looks like it’s only 2 episodes left. Which is going to be very interesting. Whitney coaches just got canceled for not getting to the bottom of the complaint. Which student is sleeping with the male coach? This is crazy because the team is in the finals looking to bring home a title for the first time. The man’s team is so bad it’s only talked about because their locker room looks like a clubhouse locker. No reason to pour money into a losing man team. Each young lady has a problem that needs to be solved at this point and the drama just keeps getting better.
