Back to the UFC 268 lineup!
First Fight Middleweights: Alex Pereira vs Andreas Michailidis, now this is Pereira's first fight in the UFC and he has two wins over the Champion Israel Adesanya, even 1 knockout but this was in kickboxing. And Michailidis last fight was stopped because his opponent couldn’t go on due to the elbows to the head. This should be a great fight and could be a bad night for Pereira. My pick for this is Michailidis, he only has 4 losses but again with the elbows to the head.
Second Fight Bantamweights: Frankie Edger vs Marlon Vera, why is Edger still fighting at 40 years old? I guess this is what happens when you are ranked number 8. I see you, Vera. Vera has been taking it to guys lately whether it’s a TKO or a Tapout he has been in the win column. Where Edger lost his last fight, now young Edger is dangerous but this Edger has too many miles on him. My pick for this fight is Vera hands down. But I do know one thing, this is going to be a fight!
Third Fight Lightweights: Justin Gaethje vs Michael Chandler, Now this is going to be very interesting. Both guys are coming off losses for the Lightweight Title. Gaethje's loss was to Khabib, one of the best guys in the world. And I remember him saying that guy was strong, way too strong. So from here Gaethje knows what is better than himself and can train up to that. I don’t believe Chandler had that same opportunity against Oliveira, he lost against fist. Chandler is a strong wrestler but not Khabib strong. I see Gaethje coming away with this win, he has been on his game. I see Gaethje getting the real Lightweight Championship very soon.
Fourth Fight Strawweight Championship: Rose Namajunas (C) vs Zhang Weili, my Chinese spelling is amazing, didn’t have to look up how to spell her name, yes! Now “Thug” Rose is the Champion again, she is young and man, she got talent plus heart. I know Weili has been training hard for this fight but hopefully, she knows this is not a power fight. This Strawweight fight is a high-level skilled and technical fight. You are going to have to think about this. I know this could be quick just like last time. My pick for this Strawweight Championship Fight is “Thug” Rose, the best in the world! I think Weili is going to be holding on to that number 1 spot until her camp can think of a way to beat Rose.
Fifth Fight Welterweight Championship: Kamaru Usman (C) vs Colby Covington 2, Fight 2 is coming. Now I see everyone saying because Covington stopped Woodly he needs another title fight, lol! Woodly is gone and on the way out the door, if you ask me. Beating up someone who everyone knows is gone is not a reason for a title shot. You got stopped in the last fight and got your jaw broken, which I hope has healed completely. Usman what can I say, respect these Nigerian Man. This man is called the “Nigerian Nightmare”, you don’t get Nightmare as a light nickname. In his last 2 fights, he has TKO his opponents. Usman TKO Gamebead! Fucking Gamebead the BMF Champion. I see Usman being the next GSP because that man invests in himself. He training at a place where it’s all about him, it’s not a big group of people. The little details like that make a big difference when it counts. It’s him a Champion and pretty much 2 other Champions, they have a Champion mindset and Covington is not there yet. You want to be a Champion, train with one. Clearly, my pick is the “Nigerian Nightmare” Karamu Usman.
Hopefully, you all can see the patterning on how I pick winners for fights. I learn as much as possible even to the littlest detail because it counts.
