All the African Champions have fought in 2021 holding on to their belts. But will 2022 be the change in the tide everyone needs to take them belts away? Hell No, if you ask me, them boys are just getting started to show how great they are.

Now to the Main Fight Card!!!!
Bantamweight Bout: Cody Stamann vs Said Nurmagomedov. Cody Stamann sits at number 15 in the Bantamweight Division. Said Nurmagomedov is looking to take that spot. Stamann has a great style of mixing it up and pushing forward. I feel I will be saying mixing it up a lot for Stamann. But he does mix it up a lot with punching and really good jabs. Stamann likes to grab at guy’s legs but not really go in for a takedown. This is why he has so many wins, he is a smart fighter. Said Nurmagomedov on the other hand, has a strong ground game and knock your ass out power. Said is no joke, he seems calm, cool, and collected until he tears your head off. So my money pick is going to be Said Nurmagomedov. I think he is the next rising star in the UFC for sure.
Heavyweight Bout: Greg Hardy vs Aleksei Oleinik. Greg Hardy is in the middle of the Heavyweights. He is learning to wrestle to complete his game. But when learning to do something you don’t want to face a guy like Oleinik, who has over 47 submission wins. Yes, you are reading that right, he has over 47 submission wins. And they are normally when a guy is mounting Oleinik. I do like Greg Hardy as a fighter, he knows he is coming up and he has his eyes on who he wants to fight. Plus his plan to move over to boxing, Hardy plans on winning some titles there as well. But Oleinik is showing that age ain’t nothing but a number when you step in the Octagon with him. Here is another fight I’m looking forward too and again, I can’t pick. I like both of these guys a lot. We will see come fight night.
Middleweight Bout: Jared Cannonier vs Derek Brunson. Number 3 ranked Jared Cannonier vs Number 4 ranked Derek Brunson is the battle for the next title shot. The King of the Middleweights, Israel Adesanya has beaten everyone in the top 5 except Jared Cannonier, they have never fought. Since Brunson changed his hair color to blonde, he hasn’t lost a fight. How is this match going to go? Brunson has wrestling and hands, putting everything together. Cannonier has hands and great takedown defense. This is a tough one to call, I see Brunson getting better and taking out these young guys. I feel Cannonier is not pushing to that next level just yet. I’m not picking for this one, I just have to see it.
Flyweight Title Bout: Brandon Moreno (C) vs Deiveson Figueiredo. And we running this one back for the third time! Who doesn’t love a Trilogy? For the best Flyweight between these two guys. Figueiredo has a decision win over Moreno in their first fight. Everyone thought it should have gone to Moreno but it was so close. In the second fight, Moreno was smart and didn’t want to leave it to the judges. So he just jumped on Figueiredo out of nowhere, got his back quick, and put on the body lock first. Then the two, hand fought for about a minute, but it took a second for Moreno to get the choke in. From there Figueiredo did break apart Moreno’s hands but once Moreno got them back together it was a wrap. Figueiredo tapped out. Do I think it needs to be a third, YES? Moreno needs to show once and for all he is the King of the Flyweights. Which should push Figueiredo to the next weight class, that guy is too big for Flyweight. My money is on Brandon “Baby Assassin” Moreno keeping that title in Mexico!!
Heavyweight Title Bout: Francis Ngannou (C) vs Ciryl Gane. This is the fight I’m looking forward to the most. A lot of the fighters that have come out of France are normally soft but not Gane. Gane has been bringing it to people all his career, once being a training partner with Ngannou but not anymore. Both these guys are at the top looking to be the best. Critics keep saying Gane has a style that Ngannou normally has trouble with because they saw some training videos with the two, really it was like a little clip. A clip doesn’t tell you anything when these two step in that Octagon and those doors close. Ngannou has clean jabs, with power that will knock you back to the third grade. Now, I’m not saying Gane is a pushover but you must respect this new man that’s the champ Ngannou, no more games. His head is clear and he is on a mission and I feel sorry for anyone standing in that Octagon with him. My money is on Ngannou, he’s a bad man!
