First, I want to say welcome to my house at Madison Square Garden in New York City. UFC 281 should only be in the Big Apple with these big fights in this fight card. I’m excited and looking forward to this Pay Per View.
Where are you going to be watching UFC 281: Adesanya vs Pereira on Saturday, November 12th, 2022? Now, this is a mother fucking Pay Per View fight. The history between these two men is outside of MMA as Adesanya let Pereira know. This is going to be a real fucking fight between you two, not a Muy Thai Boxing match. Pereira does have 2 wins over Izzy but again outside of MMA and Izzy was young.
Izzy let Alex know, there is no referee stepping in to save him and let him rest for 8 seconds. No decisions on a fight you felt you lost as well and were shocked when they raised your hand. When watching those fights back, Izzy did win them both.
Adesanya is a grown-ass man putting people on notice in the UFC. I think the UFC went out and got Pereira only because no one else can get the job done against Adesanya. Fight Card
Middleweight Title Bout: Israel Adesanya vs Alex Pereira
The odds are coming in and looking great for my boy Izzy over Alex. My only thing is Alex has had 2 fights in the UFC and this third is against someone who has been at the Top for 3 years now. I know the UFC is looking to sell more wow fights but sometimes you have to be smart when fighting to stay on top.
I wouldn’t go out there and fight all crazy to put this guy away. I know Izzy doesn’t fight like that at all. He is a very smart fighter and he knows the MMA fight business. Again I don’t know much about Alex, I think this last guy he put away in no time was good for Alex and bad for the guy that took that fight.
Either way who are you going for? Who do you see winning and how? Go back and watch these fights between these two guys. Alex was rocked and dizzy and couldn’t really stand and the referee stopped the fight to let him rest. It was fucking crazy to see that. In the UFC they don’t do that shit.
My PICK is on Izzy to win. If Izzy can wrestle, I think I that in. This may throw Alex off his game, he is a stand up fighter, I haven’t seen him on the ground yet.
Strawweight Title Bout: Carla Esparza vs Weili Zhang
Then we have the women’s Strawweight Bout for the Title. No one could beat Rose but Rose dropped the ball and lost to a decision against Carla this last time around. That fight was trash and a bad game plan idea altogether.
I don’t believe Weili is going to have the problem that Rose did. Rose was scared to fight Carla, and Weili is not scared to fight anyone. My question is will Carla be able to deal with all that power Weili brings? I think if Weili hit you, she is knocking you into a whole other world.
This is going to be the best match on the card. The Strawweight fights are always the most exciting ones. Watch small people moving around fast and beating the shit out of each other. I’m a big Weili Zhang fan and my pick is for her to become a second-time Strawweight Champion. Did you see in the video all the weight she is picking up with ease?
Lightweight Bout: Dustin Poirier vs Michael Chandler
I love stories and Dustin Poirier man you need new coaches and a new team. If you stay with American Top Team you are going to keep losing big money fights. Add a little more to your style, Dustin could be bigger and badder Lightweight you know. People like Poirier don’t know when it’s time to move on and go to the next level in their careers.
Now for Dustin Poirier to stay he rather sells hot sauce than fight Michael Chandler it was because Chandler was new to the UFC. Well, guess what he got more fights in the book and Chandler is making that big money, so now you need to fight him. There is no one left for Poirier at this point in time. Poirier can’t fight for the title again due to who is now the Champion.
Now my boy Michael Chandler, I had no clue who this guy was a year ago. He is just some new guy fighting Dan Hooker, who I’m a big fan of. Then he put Dan’s lights out in the first round. I’m like ok, I felt Michael's UFC career is all over the place. He is now focusing in and taking these guys out one at a time to get to the top.
I do see Michale Chandler taking this one from Dustin Poirier. I don’t know why but that’s my pick for the fight. The Lightweight Division is just crazy, someone got a win over another guy that beat that guy. It’s fucking crazy in that division alone. And when it comes to skills fighting for the Title, Michael Chandler has them to take that belt.
