Sad to say Prochazka is out due to a very serious shoulder injury that will take up to 6 months to recover from. He should have kept the belt and used that money to cover his medical bills. He is young and he will bounce back pretty fast.
The main fight is for the Vacant Light Heavyweight Title still. Teixeira decided not to take his next fight against just anyone. He is going to let Błachowicz vs Ankalaev fight for the Title and then fight the Champion of that fight. Which, I don’t blame him, Teixeira is getting up there in age and only has a few more fights left in him.

Match Fight
Light Heavyweight Vacant Title Bout:
Former Champion Jan Błachowicz will face off against Magomed Ankalaev who is on a 9-fight win steak. This is a fight with some big guys. If you haven’t seen these guys in action, watch the UFC Promo video at the start of this blog. Ankalaev is a scary guy to be fighting but I know my boy Błachowicz will not back down from a hard fight.
It’s hard to say who will win, Błachowicz has the championship rounds over Ankalaev. Ankalaev also looks like a guy who is not going to fight you past the first round. Błachowicz is going to have to tire this guy out and then go in for the kill. Either way, I’m excited about all UFC fights and this one is no different.
Light Weight Bout:
Rising Star Paddy Pimblett will go up against Jared Gordon. I don’t know much about JG other than I hope he is not just another guy they pick to lose. Paddy is like the New Connor and if the UFC can make some money off a trash talker that can sell fights they will. Not saying everyone Connor fought was easy. Paddy says he lives and breathes fighting like no other. We will see if he can get the job done against Gordon.
In the highlights, Gordon looks like he may be faster than Paddy and maybe he can put the kid on his ass. But we will all wait and see how this plays out. This is going to be a tough one to pick with these guys. Mostly because I’ve never seen Jared Gordon fight in the UFC.
Both guys have a beautiful story and are fighting to help others. Go watch the UFC video, this is just going to be a hard fight to pick.
