Yes, I know they came out with a New Firestick 4K Max with 16GB to compete with the Nvidia Shield TV Pro. That is a joke all on its own. A few problems I had with the newest Firestick 4K Max 2023, it was so, so, so, slow.

I looked up if it’s 32-bits or 64-bits and it’s 32-bits, that’s crazy slow. Why would you put that in your device going into 2024? This is Amazon being cheap. I tried to load our Elite System onto the Firestick 4K Max, but it was a nightmare. Out of 65 third-party apps, 25% of them were blocked from the Firestick system.
My favorite app included the best AdGuard with built-in VPN was blocked from being loaded onto the device. After that, I was done. I notice you can’t downgrade the system and you can’t stop them from updating your Firestick. These are not a good sign for any streaming device.

Google TV 4K, runs too slow with Android 12
Quote, “If you buy cheap you Buy Twice.” I was always told as a little kid to save up my money and buy the best and highest quality. Because you don’t want to end up buying twice or sometimes a third time because you still haven’t learned your lesson on quality vs quantity.
I’ve been loading devices since 2012 when I was Jailbreaking iPads and reselling them with XBMC, now known as Kodi on them with the Beast Build. This was the very first Build on Kodi, back then it was just a ton of add-ons until The Beast changed the game.
So I knew back then an iPad was going to outlast a Jailbroken Firestick. Hack, the Firesticks are still as slow in 2024 as they were back in the day of 2013. Nothing has changed with them. People online hype them up for a 3% kickback on Amazon.
These YouTubers and bloggers know the Firestick is the hardest streaming device to use due to all the many little problems that it has right out of the box. Like, you needing to buy the ethernet plug-in adapter with the newest Firestick 4K Max 2023 to stop the buffering. I thought this newer version of the Firestick would have stopped all that buffering.
Firestick 4K Max 2023, still slow with 32-bits
Let me go ahead and get started on the other two little cheap boxes people say are Firestick Alternatives. The Google TV 4K and the Onn Box, both boxes are a no, don’t buy these. The Android software system is way too powerful for these cheap little boxes, they can’t keep up.
When building these little boxes, think of the parts this company is using. What is the processor chip like? Not powerful, small, and cheap to keep costs low and to have you buy them over and over again. Because after 6 months these little boxes will slow down on you out of nowhere. One little update to the software system can freeze your device up.
At first, you are going to think it’s you and not the box. As time goes on, you won’t be able to get through 1 movie without the device buffering all the time. You will then know the box is not powerful enough to keep up. This has happened to me too with a Jailbroken Firestick and a Jailbroken Google TV 4K. I got so mad I tossed my Jailbroken Firestick out of a 4th-floor NYC building. I can happily say, that it did not survive the fall and the Jailbroken Google TV 4K, I believe I gave it away.
